Abstract

Foreliggende oppfinnelse beskriver en kabel omfattende et lag av et polyetylenpreparat som karakteriseres ved at det omfatter. (A) fra 5 prosent til 95 prosent, av det totale preparatets vekt, av minst en første polymer som er en etylen/a-olefin interpolymer som har (i) en tetthet fra 0,865 g/cm3 til 0,95 g/cm3, (ii) en molekylvektfordeling (MJMJ fra 1,8 til 3,5, (iii) en smelteindeks ((2) fra 0,001 g/10 min. til 10 g/10min. og (iv) en CBDI-verdi som er større enn 50 prosent, (B) fra 5 prosent til 95 prosent, av det totale preparatets vekt, av minst en andre polymer som er en heterogent forgrenet etylenpolymer eller homogent forgrenet etylen-homopolymer med en tetthet fra 0,9 g/cm3 til 0,965 g/cm3. Kabelen ifølge foreliggende oppfinnelse har overlegne mekaniske egenskaper og prosesserbarhet i forhold til konvensjonelle kabler som an- vender nåværende polymerer så som lavtetthetspolyetylen (LDPE), lineær lavtetthetspolyetylen (LLDPE) og polyvinylklorid (PVC).
