Abstract

I et optisk telekommunikasjonssystem som utnytter bølgedelt mulitipleksing (WDM), har en bølgelengdetilskudd/bortfall-mulitiplekser (WADM) en rekke filtere som ligger inntil hverandre. Hvert filter velger ut lys med hver sin bølgelengde som sendes i en muliti- plekset datastrøm langs en optisk fiber. Hver filterrekke ligger inntil et parti i rekken, som er et nominelt transparent filter og har utstyr for å forflytte rekken slik at bevegelsen mellom filtere som er i bruk, skjer via det nominelt transparente filterparti i rekker», l følge en fremgangsmåte for å drive en WADM, skjer overgangen mellom to filtere i en rekke av filtere som hvert enkelt er beregnet på å velge ut lys med hver sin bølgelengde som sendes i en multiplekset datastrøm langs en optisk fiber ved hjelp av et nominelt transparent filterparti i rekken.
