Abstract
Katalysatorsammensetning egnet for addisjonsreaksjoner av etylenisk og acetylenisk umettede monomerer, omfattende en metalloksidbasrer som kovalent bundet til dens overflate direkte gjennom metalloksidets oksygenatom har et aktivatoranion som også er ionisk bundet til en katalytisk aktiv overgangsmetallkationforbindelse. Det er også beskrevet en fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av katalysatorsammensetningen, som kan eksemplifiseres ved omsetning av en Lewis-syre, slik som trisperfluorfenylbor med resterende silanolgrupper i en silisiumdioksidbærer, fortrinnsvis deretter omsetning med en Lewis-base slik som dietylanilin, for derved å fremstille en silisiumdioksidbundet anionisk aktivator som ved kombinasjon med en egnet overgangsmetallforbindelse vil protonere denne for derved å danne det ioniske katalysatorsystemet. Anvendelse av nevnte katalysator for polymerisasjon av alfa-olefiner er eksemplifisert.
