Abstract
Denne oppfinnelse vedrører en fremgangsmåte for bestemmelse av giftigheten av vannløselige substanser eller av substanser som kan blandes med vann, og således oppnå kvantitativ informasjon vedrørende giftvirkningen av nevnte substanser. Oppfinnelsen hjelper til å redusere antallet tester gjennomført på pattedyr, som hittil har vært nødendig. Ifølge denne fremgangsmåte vil minst to målinger bestemme forandringen i bevegelighet og/eller størrelsen av test- organismene i et vandig medium, under påvirkning av minst en giftig substans. En anordning for å utføre denne fremgangs- måte omfatter en bildeoppfatningsenhet som påviser objektet og i rekkefølge registrerer bilder av dette objekt i minst ett plan med på forhånd bestemte tidsintervaller. Arrangert nedstrøms for bildepåvisningsenheten er en evaluerings- anordning med en regnemaskin og fremvisningsverktøy som statistisk evaluerer bevegeligheten og/eller størrelsen av organismene i forhold til den foreliggende giftighet. Frem- j gangsmåten anvendes spesielt for å bestemme giftige på- ' virkninger på miljøet, spesielt vannfaunaen og for å bestemme i bivirkninger og kontraindikasjoner for farmasøytika og næringsmidler.
