Abstract

Fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av et titandioksydpigment omfattende blanding av en suspensjon av titandioksyd med et reagens dannet ved å reagere konsentrert fosforsyre med aluminium eller en aluminiumforbindelse ved en økt temperatur og med tilsetning av en alkalisk forbindelse til suspensjonen inntil oppnåelse av en pH-verdi på minst 3,5. Et nytt pigment som kan fremstilles ved fremgangsmåten ifølge oppfinnelsen omfatter titandioksyd, hvis partikler har et overflatebelegg av aluminiumfosfat hvor molforholdet aluminium til fosfor ligger i området 1,8:1 til 1:1,4 Al:P. Pigmentene som er fremstilt i henhold til oppfinnelsen kan anvendes for frem- stilling av papirlaminater.
