Abstract

Multimediakonferansesystem som bruker spesielt fremhevede endestasjoner ED på forskjellig måte ved oppsettingen. En første måte kan være når apparatur CLED setter opp en konferanse ved at en første endestasjon ED etablerer en punktforbind- else med en andre endestasjon ED i et sambandsnett (108), og deretter velger brukeren av en av endestasjonene hvilken måte en flerpunkts multimediakonferanse skal settes opp ved å bruke sitt bruker- grensesnitt (105, 107, 109, 111). En prosessor gir kommando til apparaturen CLED om å sette opp et forbindelsesledd (118, 120, 122) til et reservasjonssystem og forespør om en nettadresse (og/eller et telefonnummer) og et konferanseidenti- fikasjonsnummer. Denne informasjon videreføres til en multimediaformidler MMS (102), og informasjonen lagres i et ende- punktlager, hvoretter forbindelsesleddet (118, 120, 122) brytes.
