Abstract

Polymermateriale med interpenetrerende nettverk, omfattende et matriksmateriale av polyolefin og jevnt fordelt i dette en termoplastisk fenolpolymer som er tverrbundet med et tverrbindingsmiddel til en tverrbindingsgrad på fra 0,5 % til 50 % således at den tverrbundne fenolpolymer danner et interpenetrerende nettverk i matriksmaterialet, og even- tuelt også en mindre andel av en etylen- propylen-butadien-polymer. Polyolefinet utgjør fra 99 til 5 vekt% og den delvis tverrbundne fenolpolymer utgjør fra l til 95 vekt% når summen av vektprosent- mengdene av disse bestanddeler settes til 100 vekt%. Det beskrives også en fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av polymermaterialet, hvor- ved polyolefinmaterialet og fenolpoly- meren blandes og under vedvarende elting i en blandemaskin, fortrinnsvis i inert atmosfære, oppvarmes til en temperatur som ligger over smeltepunktet for den høyestsmeltende bestanddel, hvoretter fenolpolymeren tverrbindes til ønsket tverrbindingsgrad ved hjelp av et tverr- bindingsmiddel og en egnet katalysator som innføres i blandemaskinen enten sam- men med polyolefinmaterialet og fenol- polymeren eller etter at disse fore- ligger i smeltet tilstand, og det dan- nede produkt avkjøles og granuleres.
