Date Jul. 21, 1994.The glazing element in accordance with the invention comprises in its simplest form a pane and a textile spacer fabric arranged at the covering surface of the pane. The spacer fabric comprises at least two covering layers, which are connected together by rib fibers extending approximately transversely in relation to the panes. The glazing element in accordance with the invention possesses thermal insulating properties and may be utilized as safety glass, more particularly for roofs or overhead glazing arrangements.
