Abstract

The invention relates to a fire-protective glass constructional element comprising at least one fireproof glass pane whose periphery rests in the rebate of a frame. The said periphery is held in its rebate, at least along its upper and especially horizontal edge, by interposition of a fibrous material (6) which has a high porosity and modulus of elasticity and whose properties and/or structure are maintained unchanged at high temperature, the latter material penetrating into the glass pane when the latter approaches or reaches its softening temperature. <IMAGE>
