Abstract

Et digitalt radiokommunikasjonssystem oppnår små Variasjoner av effekten i omhyllingskurven til et utsendt signal ved å kode digital informasjon som fasevinkeldifferanser i et overført (sendt) radiosignal og ved å innskrenke den maksimalt mulige fasevinkeldifferansen. Denne reduksjonen av variasjoner i omhyllingskurven letter linearitetskravene for et ønsket nivå av forvrengningsundertrykking til RF-forsterkermidler (RF radiofrekvens) benyttet til å overføre radiosignalet. I tillegg medfører lavere variasjoner i omhyllingskurven en høyere midlere utsendt effekt for en gitt maksimal utsendt effekt, slik at både rekkevidde og batterienes levetid forlenges.
