Ved denne totrinns fremgangsmåten for delignifisering av celluloseholdige råstoffer benyttes deligni- fisering med vandig eddiksyre ved en temperatur mellom 140 og 230'C under et trykk på fra 3 til 30 bar med påfølgende ekstraksjon eller vask. Den oppnådde eddlksyrefuktede kjemiske massen blir deretter behandlet med en ozonholdig gass.
