Description
Fremgangsmåte for sammenfesting av endene til endeløse belter.
Oppfinnelsen vedrører en fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av endeløse vevede belter, og mer spesielt PTFE-belagte fiberglassremmer.
Ifølge oppfinnelsen er det tilveiebragt en fremgangsmåte
for sammenfesting av et endeløst belte dannet av et vevet fiberglassgarn som er belagt med et plastmateriale, hvilken fremgangsmåte er kjennetegnet ved at belagte fiberglassbånd med en film av et materiale som smelter ved varme og er motstandsdyktig mot høye temperatu-
rer som er laminert mellom to lag av belagte glasstoffér legges på tvers over endene til beltet, at båndet oppvarmes for å mykne plast-materialet som er laminert inn, at båndene, trekkes av beltet med plastbelegget, at veftgarn fjernes fra de frilagte deler og legges mellom
de frilagte varp- eller veftender, at det påføres en film av et varmesmeltbart og mot høye temperaturer motstandsdyktig plastmateriale over og under de fingerlignende varp- eller veftender for å danne en forbindelse og at forbindelsen oppvarmes for å bevirke at filmene fester seg til varp- eller veftendene og forenes.
Oppfinnelsen skal i det følgende nærmere beskrives ved hjelp av et utførelseseksempel som er fremstilt på tegningene, som<*>viser: fig. 1 et perspektivriss av en del av en ende på et belagt fiberglassbelte,
fig. 2 et perspektivriss av en ende av et belte med båndene anbragt på enden,
fig. 3 et perspektivriss av endene til beltet forberedt for sammenfesting,
fig. 4 et skjematisk snitt av forbindelsen i forstørret målestokk,
fig. 5 et skjematisk snitt av en videre forbindelse som er forsterket på undersiden,
fig. 6 et perspektivriss av deler av to belter som er forbundet i beltenes lengderetning med en mellomliggende film 5 og den øverste film k utelatt av oversiktsgrunner.
Et vevet f iberglassbelte A"*" som er belagt med et plastmateriale, såsom PTPE, er skåret til riktig lengde med en utragende del på f. eks. 2,5 cm som. skal dlanne forbindelsen for endene. Et bånd B av tilsvarende.PTFE-belagt glassfiber med en film av varmesmeltbart, mot høye temperaturer motstandsdyktig materiale, laminert mellom de
to lag.av PTFE-belagt glasstoff, skjæres til bredden for beltet med en overlapping ved hver ende og legge3 over oversiden og undersiden
på hver belteende. Båndene B blir festet til belteendene méd de be-"-lagte bånd av laminert innskutt materiale som kan være av PTFE eller FEB eller andre materialer som smelter ved høye temperaturer.
Båndene blir festet til belegget på beltet ved tilføring av. varme og etter avkjøling til omgivelsestemperatur blir det trukket av beltet for å fjerne belegget fra hver side av beltet sammen med PTFE eller lignende fra laminatet. Veftgarnene 2 blir nu tatt ut fra de frilagte ender til varpendene 3 til beltet for å frigjøre varpendene 3j som også vist på fig. 3S idet varpendene 3 beskjæres bakover med ca. 0,6 cm:
Beltet Å"*" overføres til en varmesmeltepresse og blir inn-rettet og festet i denne på varmebjelkene til pressen.
Én forbindelsesfilm 4 anbringes på den øvre og nedre flate til de frilagte yarpender 3, og mellom disse legges "en film 5 (fig. 4). Vanligvis legges ett lag som vist på fig. 4, men et andre lag kan også anbringes. Sammenbindingsfilmene 4, 5 kan bestå av et .0,025 mm tykt bånd av PEB eller en annen varmesmeltbar polymer.
Tykkelsen til den mellomlagte varmesmeltbare film velges, slik at den passer til totaltykkelsén, slik at en jevn forbindelse er fremstilt etter den endelige sammensmelting.
•Por videre å styrke forbindelsen kan et avstivningsbånd 4* av det samme materiale som beltet anbringes på undersiden av beltet som vist på fig. 5. Dette sikrer at den øvre flate er jevn, men baksiden er noe avtrappet som ved vanlig belteforbindelse. Avstiv-ningsbåndet 4' er anbragt over et av de ytre lag av FEB eller en annen varmesmeltbar polymerfilm (se fig. 5)«
Etter å ha sikret riktig sentrering og innretting av beltet og delene i forbindeIseslaminatet på hovedbjelken, lukkes pressen ved f. eks. et trykk på 2,8 kg/cn<r>, strøm tilføres for å øke tem-peraturen til omkring 350°C og når denne temperatur er oppnådd, økes trykket til 4,2 kg/cm2.
Beltet;avkjøles nu til 120°C før det fjernes fra pressen og tillates å kjøle til omgivelsestemperatur, hvoretter det tilskjæ-res.
Sidene på laminatet som overlapper beltet er .skåret bort for å gi forbindelsen omtrent den samme tykkelse som beltet A1 for å gi en glatt forbindelse. Beltet kan så utstyres med avstivninger 4' på undersiden av forbindelsen, slik at undersiden ikke har noen kontur.
Fig. 6 viser to belter A som er forbundet i lengderetning for å frembringe et bredere belte, og hvor båndene B anbringes i lengderetning ved de hosliggende kanter av beltet for å frilegge belegget herfra, og varpgarnet 3 blir fjernet slik at endene til veftgarnene 2 frilegges for anbringelse av filmene 4 som beskrevet ovenfor.
Claims (3)
1. Fremgangsmåte for sammenfesting av endene på et endeløst belte fremstilt av vevede fiberglassgarn som er belagt med et plast-
materiale, karakterisert ved . at belagte fiberglass-
• bånd anbringes på tvers over endene til beltet, at båndene oppvarmes for å mykne plastbelegget mellom dem, at båndene f jernes "Tra beltet med plastbelegget, veftgarnet fjernes fra de frilagte deler, at de frilagte yarpender sammenflettes, at det påføres en film av et plastmateriale over og under de sammenflettede varpender for dannelsen av en forbindelse' og at forbindelsen oppvarmes for å bevirke at fibrene fester seg til varpendene og sammenfestes.
2.. Fremgangsmåte for sammenfesting av endene på et endeløst belte ifølge krav 1, karakterisert ved at en mellomliggende film av et varmesmeltbart plastmateriale anbringes mellom varpendene eller veftgarnene til de to ender av beltet før sammenfest-ingen av forbindelsen.
3. Fremgangsmåte for sammenfesting av endene til kanter på et endeløst belte ifølge krav 1 og 2, karakterisert ved at sidene til laminatet som overlapper beltet skjæres av for å gi forbindelsen i det vesentlige den samme tykkelse som beltet.
