Abstract
En funksjonell fluid grunnolje er beskrevet bestående av en blanding av (1) en eller flere naftenske grunnråvarer, og (2). en eller flere konvensjonelle løsemiddel nøytrale grunnråvarer og (3) en eller flere hydrokrakkete grunnråvarer. Det funksjonelle fluidet kan være tilsatt en eller flere ytelsesadditiver. Fluidet er spesielt nyttig for bruk som servostyringsgrunnolje.
Description
Oppfinnelsens bakgrunn
Funksjonelle fluider består av et bredt spekter smøremidler som er anvendt i automotive og industrielle hydrauliske systemer, automotive overføringer, servostyringssystemer, støtdemperfluider og lignende. Disse fluidene overfører og styrer effekt i mekaniske systemer, og må derfor ha nøye regulering av viskometriske karakteristikker. I tillegg kan disse fluidene i noen tilfeller formuleres for å gi fler-gradsfunksjon for å sikre helårsdrift i variable klima.
Servostyringsfluider (Power Steering Fluids - PSF) er et av de mest vanlige funksjonelle fluider og en vesentlig del av all servostyringssystemer. Servostyring er anvendt i ca 80% til 90% av alle kjøretøy i Nord Amerika og Japan og deres
anvendelse blir mer vanlig i andre deler av verden. Disse
systemene er ansett å være "sikkerhetsfølsomme" og de store Oil Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) har strenge spesifikasjo-ner for å regulere alle sider ved komponentene som inngår i deres fremstilling inklusiv funksjonelle fluider.
Et servostyringssystem består av en pumpe, gir, drivenheter for utgang og et hydraulisk system. PSF tjener som et hydraulisk fluid for å overføre effekt i systemet og dermed bistå kjøreren i å styre kjøretøyet. Tap av styring kan føre til en ulykke og fluidet må derfor ha riktige viskosi-metriske egenskaper ved omgivelses oppstartstemperaturer, mens tilstrekkelig viskositet ved høyere driftstemperaturer vedlikeholdes. PSF må også være stabil mot oksidering siden det er utsatt for høye temperaturer og forventet å være i bruk i opp til 160 000 km i noen tilfeller. I tillegg, og kanskje blant de viktigste kravene til servostyringsfluider, må de være kompatible med pakninger og slanger som kan måles med forskjellige ASTM prøver, for eksempel, D 471.
I tidligere servostyringsfluider har vanligvis blandinger av naftensk og løsemiddelnøytrale grunnråvarer vært anvendt. I løpet av de siste par årene, med økt ytelseskrav på servostyringsfluider, kan imidlertid anvendelse av
"neste generasjons" hydrokrakket grunnråvarer by på oksi-deringsfordeler. Slike molekylære sammensetningsendringer forventes imidlertid å ikke være kompatible med pakninger og slanger i servostyringssystemer.
US patent nr. 4 968 452 omhandler en blanding av mineral-oljer som grunnolje for sammensetninger til bruk som ser-vostyringsoljer. Imidlertid har dette patentet en annen sammensetning enn det som er beskrevet i foreliggende oppfinnelse.
Beskrivelse av oppfinnelsen
Foreliggende oppfinnelse omhandler en funksjonell fluid-grunnolje som består av
(i) 15 til 45 vol % av minst en naftenisk basisråvare med en kinematisk viskositet på 1,5 til 3,5 mmVsek ved 100<*>C, en viskositetsindeks på 90 eller mindre, et flytepunkt på maksimalt -42*C, et anilinpunkt på 90<*>C eller mindre, et innhold mettede komponenter på 90 masse % eller mindre; (ii) 15 til 45 vol % av minst en konvensjonell løsemid-delnøytral basisråvare med en kinematisk viskositet på 2,5 til 6,5 mmVsek ved 100<*>, en viskositetsindeks på 90 til 105, et flytepunkt på maksimalt -12*C, et anilinpunkt på 95'C til 105<*>C, et innhold mettede komponenter på 75 til 90 masse %; (iii) 15 til 45 vol % av minst en hydrokrakket basisråvare med en kinematisk viskositet på 3,5 til 6,5 mm<2>/sek ved 100<*>C, en viskositetsindeks på 100 til 120, et flytepunkt på maksimalt -12°C, et anilinpunkt på 100 C til 120'C, et innhold mettede komponenter på 92 til 99 masse %; og (iv) fra 0 vol % til 30 vol % av en andre hydrokrakket basisråvare omfattende en eller flere hydrokrakkede basisråvarer med en kinematisk viskositet på 1,5 til 3,5 mm<2>/sek ved 100<*>C, en viskositetsindeks på 90 eller høy-ere, et flytepunkt på maksimalt -24"C, et anilinpunkt på 95 til 110<*>C og et innhold av mettede komponenter på 90 til 99 masse %,
hvor nevnte blanding av basisråvarer har en kinematisk viskositet på 3 til 5 mm<2>/sek ved 100<*>C, en viskositetsindeks på 90 til omkring 115 og et flytepunkt på maksimalt -24°C.
Når det funksjonelle fluidet er tilsatt additiv har det resulterende tilsatte funksjonelle fluidet en kinematisk viskositet på ca 6,5 til ca 9,5 mm<2>/sek ved 100°C, fortrinnsvis ca 7,5 til ca 8,5 mm<2>/sek ved 100°C, en viskositetsindeks på ca 150 til ca 200, et flytepunkt på maksimum ca -42°C, og en Brookefield viskositet på ca 25.000 cP eller mindre ved -40°C, fortrinnsvis ca 20.000 cP eller mindre ved -40°C, og oppfyller pakningskompatibili-tetskravene.
I formuleringen av den (de) naftenske grunnråvaren(e) og løsemiddelnøytrale grunnråvare(r) er de oljene velkjent i industrien og fremstilt ved konvensjonelle teknikker likeledes velkjent i petroleumsindustrien.
Hydrokrakkete grunnråvarer kan fremstilles ved å anvende hvilke som helst fremgangsmåte for hydrokrakkingsprosess som for tiden anvendes i teknikken, så vel som enhver prosess som ennå ikke er utviklet. Det antas at ytelsen og funksjonen av de hydrokrakkete grunnråmaterialene i foreliggende oppfinnelse er uavhengig av spesifikke pro-sedyremessige teknikker anvendt i fremstillingen av grunnråvarene. Vanligvis er hydrokrakkete grunnråvarene fremstilt ved å begynne med destillatet fra atmosfæris-ke/vakuum rørfordampere og/eller koksanleggsdestillat, alternativt ved å utsette destillatet for et aromatfjer-ningstrinn ved å anvende et aromatselektivt løsemiddel som fenol, furfural, NMP, osv. Destillatet er deretter utsatt for hydrokonvertering i minst en hydrokonverte-ringssone, mer typisk to soner der destillatet er ekspo-nert for en katalysator i nærvær av hydrogen ved høy temperatur og trykk for å effektuere metning av aroma-ter, åpning av ringer og reduksjon av svovel- og nitro-geninnhold.
Hvis den overforstående vist til, alternative aromat-fjerningstrinn ikke utvikles, kan strømmen fra hydrokon-verteringstrinne(ne) nå utsettes for et aromatfjernings-trinn som løsemiddelekstraksjon med anvendelse av et se-lektivt løsemiddel som fenol, furfural, NMP, osv. Denne strømmen kan deretter utsettes for avvoksing ved løse-middel avvoksing eller katalytisk avvoksing eller isome-risering. Strømmen, enten før eller etter avvoksingen kan også utsettes for hydrosluttbehandling for å videre redusere svovel- og nitrogeninnholdet.

Vanligvis anvendes et servostyrings tilsetningsmiddel i mengder varierende fra ca 5 volum% til ca 20 volum% som mottatt, fortrinnsvis ca 6 volum% til ca 16 volum% som mottatt, hvor maksimum mengde fortynnende olje i det totale tilsetningsmiddelet er mellom 0 til ca 40 volum%.
Claims (2)
1. Funksjonell fluid basisolje omfattende: (i) 15 til 45 vol% av minst en naftenisk basisråvare med en kinematisk viskositet på 1,5 til 3,5 mm<2>/sek ved 100°C, en viskostietsindeks på 90 eller mindre, et flytepunkt på maksimalt -42°C, et anilinpunkt på 90°C eller mindre, et innhold mettede komponenter på 90 masse% eller mindre; (ii) 15 til 45 vol% av minst en konvensjonell løsemiddelnøytral basisråvare med en kinematisk viskositet på 2,5 til 6,5 mm<2>/sek ved 100°, en viskositetsindeks på 90 til 105, et flytepunkt på maksimalt -12°C, et anilinpunkt på 95°C til 105°C, et innhold mettede komponenter på 75 til 90 masse%; (iii) 15 til 45 vol% av minst en hydrokrakket basisråvare med en kinematisk viskositet på 3,5 til 6,5 mm<2>/sek ved 100°C, en viskositetsindeks på 100 til 120, et flytepunkt på maksimalt -12°C, et anilinpunkt på 100 C til 120°C, et innhold mettede komponenter på 92 til 99 masse%; og (iv) fra 0 vol% til 30 vol% av en andre hydrokrakket basisråvare omfattende en eller flere hydrokrakkede basisråvarer med en kinematisk viskositet på 1,5 til 3,5 mm<2>/sek ved 100°C, en viskositetsindeks på 90 eller høyere, et flytepunkt på maksimalt -24°C, et anilinpunkt på 95 til 110°C og et innhold av mettede komponenter på 90 til 99 masse%,
hvor nevnte blanding av basisråvarer har en kinematisk viskositet på 3 til 5 mm<2>/sek ved 100°C, en viskositetsindeks på 90 til omkring 115 og et flytepunkt på maksimalt - 24°C.
2. Funksjonell fluid basisolje ifølge krav 1, ytterligere inneholdende (v) en additivpakke hvor den ytterligere funksjonelle fluid haren kinematisk viskositet på 6,5 til 9,5 mm<2>/sek ved 100°C, en viskositetsindeks på 150 til 200, et flytepunkt på maksimalt < -42°C og en Brookfield-viskositet på < 25.000 cP eller mindre ved -40°C.
