Abstract

Fremgangsmåte og anordning for å trekke ut mer varme fra elektrolyseceller for produksjon av aluminium, med den hensikt å kompensere for den ekstra varmen som produseres i cellen når strømstyrken økes, samt å dissipere mindre varme til rågassen fra cellen. En anodekonstruksjon i cellen innbefatter anodestammen (1) som er koblet til anodebjelken (2) og anodeåket (3) som får elektrisk kontakt med en karbonanode (5) gjennom boltene (4). Anodestammen kjøles ved å øke overflatearealet til stammen over overbygningen (6) til cellen eller ved å bruke et kjølemedium som sirkulerer langs stammen. Kjølingen av anoden kan kombineres med å bruke et varmeisolerende materiale (7) på anodestammen nedenfor overbygningen.
