Abstract
En fremgangsmåte for å bringe to faser som ikke er fullstendig blandbare i kontakt med hverandre, og hvis kontakt følges av varmeutvikling på grunn av masseoverføring og/eller kjemisk reaksjon, hvori en første fase innføres i den nedre region av en kontaktor og en andre fase innføres i den øvre region av kontaktoren og føres i motstrøm til den første fase i kontaktoren, idet en behandlet første fase og en oppbrukt andre fase oppnås, omfattende resirkulering av en del av den oppbrukte andre fase til kontaktoren ved i det minste ett punkt beliggende mellom den øvre region og den nedre region. I den foretrukne utførelsesform er den første fase en fluidstrøm omfattende sure gasser som CO2, H2S, SO2, CS2, HCN, COS eller merkaptaner, og den andre fase er et absorpsjonsmedium som omfatter en vandig oppløsning av i det minste en organisk og/eller uorganisk base. 1
