Abstract
Den foreliggende oppfinnelsen tilveiebringer en fremgangsmåte for kvalitetssikring av en prøvebærer i forbindelse med å utføre en analyse av en prøve i prøvebæreren i et analyseinstrument for in vitro diagnoser, hvor prøvebæreren er tilveiebrakt med et symbol for å bekrefte kompatibiliteten av prøvebæreren med analyseinstrumentet. Fremgangsmåte omfatter å bringe prøvebæreren til en avbildende posisjon i analyseinstrumentet, skaffe et bilde av prøvebæreren, og analysere det ervervede bildet å detektere tilstedeværelsen av et symbol for å identifisere ektehet av prøvebæreren. Der hvor prøvebæreren er identifisert som ekte, godkjennes prøvebæreren for anvendelse i analyseinstrumentet og analyseinstrumentet settes i stand til å utføre en analyse av prøven i prøvebæreren.
