mRNA-transkriptprofilering kan anvendes for utfonning av molekylære prediktorer for fjemmetastase for primære NPC. De predikterte resultatene korrelerer godt med kort metastasefri overlevelse og total overlevelse. Prediksjoner utføres ved anvendelse av prediktorer basert på 52 gener og 12 gener.
