Abstract
Utførelser fremlagt heri vedrører fremgangsmåter og systemer for pilotgruppering, ruteprotokoller og planlegging i kommunikasjonssystemer med flere bærere. I en utførelse kan en tilknytningsterminal gruppere en mengde av pilotsignaler karakterisert ved forskjellige frekvenser inn til én eller flere pilotgrupper, hver pilotgruppering værende identifisert ved en mengde av parametre (for eksempel en PN-forskyvning (engelsk: PN offset) og en gruppe-ID). Hver pilotgruppe kan omfatte pilotsignaler med hovedsakelig det samme dekningsområdet. Tilknytningsterminalen kan videre velge et representativt pilotsignal fra hver pilotgruppe for pilotstyrkerapportering. Tilknytningsterminalen kan ogsa benytte pilotgrupperingen for effektiv settadministrasjon.
