Abstract

Nye formuleringer av bakteriell cellulose og en ny fremgangsmåte å fremstille formuleringer av bakteriell cellulose som utviser forbedrede viskositetmodifiserende egenskaper særlig med lav energi anvendt for å effektuere viskositetsendringer med disse er skaffet til veie. Slike fremgangsmåter inkluderer ny samutfelling med et vannoppløselig co-middel som tillater utfelling i nærvær av overskudd alkohol for å danne en uoppløselig fiber som dermed kan bli utnyttet som et tykningsmiddel eller suspensjonshjelp uten behov for å introdusere høy energi blanding. Slike bakterielle cellulose egenskaper er blitt tilgjengelig i det siste, men bare gjennom store arbeidskrevende og energi intensive prosesser. En slik inventiv fremgangsmåte som nå blir foreslått skaffer således til veie en bakteriell cellulose-inneholdende formulering som utviser ikke bare egenskaper som er så effektive som de til tidligere bakterielle celluloser, men på noen måter forbedringer til slike tidligere typer.
