Abstract
En inertgjørende fremgangsmåte for å forebygge brann eller eksplosjon i et innesluttet beskyttet område i hvilket oksygeninnholdet i det beskyttede området blir nedsatt relativ til omgivelsesluften. Det er hensikten å sette istand en effektiv beskyttelse mot brann selv gitt gassemisjoner fra faststoffer eller væsker innen det beskyttede området, når brennbare substanser og/eller gasser finnes i det innesluttede beskyttede området (for eksempel hydrokarboner), slik at det tilveiebringes en fremgangsmåte ifølge oppfinnelsen for å regulere oksygeninnholdet i det innesluttede beskyttede området som en funksjon av konsentrasjonen av de gitte brennbare gassene.
