Silikamikrosfærer (M) med en ytre diameter mellom 50 og 125 µm, fortrinnsvis mellom 60 og 90 µm, en veggtykkelse over 1 µm, fortrinnsvis mellom 1 og 3 µm og en tetthet mellom 0,3 og 0,7 g/cm3, fremgangsmåte for fremstilling ved injeksjon av silikamikrosfæreforløpere (MS, PR1, PR1', PR2') i et induktivt plasma (P), fremgangsmåter for sammenstilling og mulige anvendelser av silikamikrosfærer.
