Abstract
Det beskrives et garn bestående av armeringsfiberfilamenter og en harpiks som er infiltrert inn i gamet og som gjentatte ganger kan smeltes og bringes til en størkning ved avkjøling til en romtemperatur, hvorved filamentene i gamet i det minste delvis er bundet til hverandre ved hjelp av harpiks der gamet inneholder 2,5 til 25 vekt-% infiltrert harpiks beregnet på den totale vekt og hvorved den infiltrerte harpiks består av en blanding av minst to epoksyharpikser El og E2, der El har en epoksyverdi i området 2.000 til 2.300 mmol/kg harpiks og E2 har en epoksyverdi i området 500 til 650 mmol/kg harpiks og vektforholdet EI:E2 for epoksyharpiksene El og E2 i blandingen velges slik at den infiltrerte harpiksblanding har en epoksyverdi mellom 550 og 2100 mmol/kg harpiks. Det beskrives videre en preform omfattende det beskrevne garn, en fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av preformer og videre beskrives preformens bruk ved fremstilling av en kompositt.
