Abstract

Foreliggende oppfinnelse vedrører et multistatisk sonarsystem med en bestemt modus for kommunikasjon mellom senderstasjonen og mottakerstasjonene som er ansvarlig for å detektere sonarekkoene. Dette systemet gjør det mulig særlig å omgå ulempene som oppstår ved bruk av radiokommunikasjon eller av satellittbasert kommunikasjon som generelt benyttes. Signalet utsendt av senderstasjonen omfatter en underrettelsespuls som overfører informasjon vedrørende operasjonsmodus for systemet ifølge oppfinnelsen, nærmere bestemt utsendelsestidspunktet, og en sonarpuls. Systemet er særlig beregnet for bruk av undervannsfartøyer under dykk, for å detektere og lokalisere omgivende objekter eller kontrollere posisjoneringen av et selvstyrt undervannsfartøy.
