Abstract

Tetningsanordninger i henhold til denne oppfinnelsen utformes ved prosessen med å avsette et polymermateriale på et metallsubstrat for å danne en sammensatt konstruksjon, og å forme den sammensatte konstruksjonen til form av en tetningsanordning. Den dannede tetningsanordningen omfatter et hylsterelement som er utformet fra metallsubstratet, og et tetningselement anbrakt langs en overnate av hylsterelementet som er utformet fra polymermaterialet for anbringelse langs en tetteoverflate. Tetningsanordningen i henhold til denne oppfinnelsen kan formes til flere forskjellige tetningstyper, f eks. leppetetninger, L-formede tetninger, og U-kopp-tetninger, som evt. kan energiseres. Tetningsanordninger utformet i henhold til denne oppfinnelsen som anvender slikt utformede sammensatte konstruksjoner muliggjør tetningsutforming ved et enkelt formetrinn, uten å måtte både fremstille og utforme individuelle tetningselementer og deretter å kombinere eller sammenføye de separat utformede tetningselementene.
