Abstract
En ny fremgangsmåte for å fremstille forbedrede væsketapshindrende tilsetningsstoffer for sement, som omfatter kopolymere av akrylamid som har ønsket viskositet og egenskaper for kontroll av væsketap. Metoden kombinerer (1) bruk av oksygenert preparert vann for å oppløse akrylamidmonomere, derivater eller blandinger av disse for å danne en reaksjonsblanding for polymerisering av monomerene med (2) en annen "betingelse" eller sett med betingelser. Den annen "betingelse" eller sett med betingelser er enten (a) å anvende to oppvarmingstrinn for å indusere polymerisering eller (b) å tilsette en liten mengde akrylsyre til reaksjonsblandingen før reaksjonsblandingen utsettes for en temperatur som er tilstrekkelig høy for å polymerisere monomerene.
