Abstract
En prosess for fremstilling av en ny høyaktiv, meget selektiv katalysator egnet for gjennomføring av karbonmonoksid hydrogeneringsreaksjoner, spesielt Fischer-Tropsch reaksjoner, katalysatoren per se, og en prosess for, bruk av en slik katalysator ved gjennomføringen av karbonmonoksid hydrogeneringsreaksjoner, spesielt Fischer-Tropsch syntese-reaksjoner. Katalysatoren blir fremstilt ved kontakt mel-lom, -fortrinnsvis-dispergert i en væske, en preformet,-partikulær bærer av et ildfast, uorganisk oksid, foretrukket en dampet silikabærer, en forbindelse eller et salt av et katalytisk metall eller metaller, dvs. et metall valgt fra Gruppene IB, IIB,VIIB eller VIII i det Periodiske System, foretrukket kobolt, en promotor av en oksiderbar alkohol, et oksiderbart aldehyd, eller et oksiderbart keton, passende glyoksal, og et oksidasjonsmiddel tilstrek-kelig til å reagere med promotoren og omdanne metallet eller metallene til et uløselig, høyt dispergert metall-karboksylat som blir avsatt på og understøttet av bæreren. De faste stoffene gjenvinnes og oppvarmes ved en høyere temperatur for å redusere metallet eller metallene til null i valenstilstand og danner katalysatorkompositten. Denne katalysatoren er i sin reduserte form meget aktiv, og selektiv, ved gjennomføringen av karbonmonoksid hydrogeneringsreaksjoner, spesielt ved omsetning av en blanding av hydrogen og karbonmonoksid til C+ hydrokarboner, ved kontakt av gassblandingen med katalysatoren ved reaksjons-betingelser.
