Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to primary packaging for surface-stabilized dressing materials as stated in the introduction to claim 1.
Forbindingsmaterialet kan inndeles i to store grupper. The dressing material can be divided into two large groups. One group includes those that can be fixed at the place of application using additional devices or measures, while in the other group the fixing takes place using an adhesive area on the dressing material itself. In the case of the last group, there is a need for thin and flexible support layers, which ensure a usable water vapor permeability and fit well with the contour of the place of application, otherwise difficulties with application. After the cover layer is removed, slight rolling occurs at the edge areas, which causes the adhesive area to stick to itself and folds are formed, which can mean that the dressing material cannot be used.
TJS-3 277 891 describes a mechanical reinforcement of thin aluminum films using plastic foils, the aluminum film being in direct contact with the adhesive layer of a connecting material. The new film applied to a plastic foil serves here to protect the adhesive layer. However, it is not indicated anywhere that the plastic foil should be arranged as part of the plaster's packaging, but instead that the total dressing material is packaged with the support foil.
EP-A-171 800 describes a relatively rigid tire compound film having a recess in which is arranged a matrix. This tire connection foil is so firm that a depression of it would be permanent, i.e. the foil would be maintained in the defined shape. However, this is not a plaster with a removable support foil and neither this patent publication nor the one mentioned above solves the problem of primary packaging of plaster with a support foil.
DE-PS 33 44 334). By placing a so-called support foil for surface stabilization (cf. DE-OS 19 35 916), an improvement can be provided, as a rigid layer lying above the carrier layer is connected to this, so that it can be removed after use. This principle has proven beneficial (cf. DE-PS 33 44 334).
However, it must be considered a disadvantage that the support foil must be thrown away after removal from the dressing material used and thus its function is limited to the surface stabilization. The complexity of the material provision and manufacturing measures for this additional element for such dressing materials is not insignificant.
It is therefore a task of the present invention to extend the function of the support foil, so that the ratio between complexity and utility is increased.
The task of the invention is solved by means of a primary packaging of the type mentioned at the outset, the characteristic features of which appear in claim 1.
In the present invention, primary packaging is understood to mean a protective layer that immediately envelops the bandage material, since such connected individual pieces can be combined into larger units with the help of secondary and tertiary packaging. The actual protection of the substrate is thereby primarily ensured by means of the primary packaging.
The present invention can above all be used for support foil' surface-stabilized dressing materials. Use of these dressing materials is known by e.g. wound dressings, fixation dressings, active substance-releasing plasters and incision foils. The carrier layer of the connecting material can e.g. be a textile material, a polymer material or a metal containing layer. An at least one-layer raft structure of polymer, paper or material containing metal is used as a support foil. In terms of surface, it has at least the same extent as the support layer, however, on one or more sides, it can protrude beyond the edge of the support layer. The releasable connection between the support foil and the carrier layer can be provided by techniques known per se, such as e.g. provision of the carrier layer immediately on the support foil, heat sealing, welding, gluing, embossing or by utilizing electrostatic attraction forces.
Materials for the production of the adhesive area, which ensure contact with the skin, have been selected based on the possibilities that exist, when physiological conditions are taken into account. A removable cover layer protects the skin contact surface of the dressing material before use.
The purpose and purpose of a primary packaging for such dressing material is known to the person skilled in the art. The solutions known to date consist of bringing the connecting material as a whole into an enclosure, which encloses all the sides, with all the edges being closed corresponding to the requirements of e.g. gluing, sealing, welding or embossing, but these solutions are not considered satisfactory due to the necessary material consumption.
After tearing up the bag-like primary packaging, the support foil remains on the back of the carrier layer, whereby the desired stabilization of the bonding material is ensured during use.
Attaching the other flat-shaped packaging materials to the support foil and making the releasable connection between the support foil and the carrier layer can take place in one step.
The choice of other flat-shaped packaging materials is determined by the respective applications for the packaged dressing material, which is why no indication of this can generally be given. As a rule, this is e.g. next to it, impermeable paper, polymer or metal-containing material, which, based on its structure, is assigned to the textile surface device. The choice of material for the support foil and the other packaging must not necessarily be the same, but must be in relation to the given requirements.
The packaging can normally be provided with a tearing aid, such as e.g. tearing wire, pre-arranged break lines or the like. The dressing material can have at least one active substance. It may be a transdermal therapeutic system in which a single package is unavoidable.
In what follows, the invention will be described in more detail with reference to the drawings, where: Fig. 1 shows the schematic cross-section through an embodiment of a connecting material packaged in accordance with the present invention. Fig. 2 shows the schematic cross-section of a further embodiment of a dressing material packaged according to the present invention.
As fig. 1 shows a carrier layer 4 formed of a textile material applied to a layer 5 which is adhesive and contains a pharmacologically active substance and where on the side facing the skin there is a cover layer 6, which here consists of a paper provided with a siliconised adhesive. The protective foil 7 protrudes past the carrier layer 4 on all sides and is formed from a multi-layered foil material that is rigid in relation to the carrier layer. The protective foil 7 is connected to the carrier layer 4 by means of heat sealing in several places 8 distributed according to a previously given pattern, as during heat sealing no sealing edge 11 is formed with the underlying packaging foil 10.
In fig. 2 shows a preferred embodiment of the invention in which the support foil 7 has the same size as the carrier layer. The packaging foil 10 encloses the dressing material and is connected to the upper side of the support foil 7 at the edges. The adhesive layer 5 here has no special cover layer, but the packaging foil 10 takes over the function of the protective layer. Immediately after opening the package, the dressing material can be used.
In what follows, a preferred embodiment of the dressing material according to the present invention will be described in more detail:
Eksempel 1 Example 1
Production of a packaged dressing material, with part of the packaging acting as a support foil.
A dressing material of the size 15 x 20 cm^, consisting of a textile support layer and an active substance-holding adhesive layer applied thereon, is arranged in the middle between two on each side approximately 1.5 cm projecting heat-sealable packaging material sections. The packaging material has been chosen so that the part that comes into contact with the carrier layer takes over the role of supporting foil. In one or two consecutive steps, no edge seal and the releasable connection between the support foil and the carrier layer are completed. The finished sealed edge bag is then assembled in the usual way.
