Description
Foreliggende oppfinnelse angår nye substituerte carbanilsyreestere, såvel som herbicide midler inneholdende disse.
Herbicide carbanilsyreestere, f.eks. 3,4-diklor-carbanilsyremethylester, er tidligere kjent (DE-PS 1 195 549). Disse viser imidlertid ikke noen tilstrekkelig selektiv herbicid virkning.
Målet med foreliggende oppfinnelse er å utvikle et middel som utviser en bedre virkning overfor ugress og sam-tidig en større forenlighet overfor nytteplanter enn kon-stitusjonsanaloge forbindelser.
De nye carbanilsyreestere er kjennetegnet ved at de har generell formel
hvori
R1 betegner C^-Cg-alkyl, C^-Cg-alkenyl, C2-C6-alkynyl, eller fenyl-C1~C5-alkyl,
1*2 betegner hydrogen eller klor,
R3 betegner hydrogen eller C-^-Cg-alkyl,

R,, betegner halogen og
R,, betegner halogen, o
Oppfinnelsen angår også selektivt herbicide midler som er kjennetegnet ved at de inneholder én eller flere halogen-4-(halogencyclopropylmethoxy)-carbanilsyreestere av den ovenfor angitte generelle formel, eventuelt i blanding med bærer og/eller hjelpestoffer.
De nye forbindelser ifølge oppfinnelsen utviser ganske overraskende en fremragende forenlighet overfor ris, hvete, bygg, havre, rug og kulturbeite ved anvendelse ved post-emergensmetoden.
De utviser dessuten en meget god virkning overfor ugress av arten: Sinapis, Brassica, Chenopodium, Atriplex, Solanum, Allium, Cucumis, Stellaria, Senecio, Matricaria, Lamium, Centaurea, Amaranthus, Chrysanthemum, Ipomoea, Polygonum, Echinochloa, Setaria, Digitaria, Valerianella, Digitalis, Trifolium, Portulaca, Papaver, Kochia, Gypsophila, Lactuca, Cheiranthus, Euphorbia, Linum, Datura, Cichorium.
Fra EP-søknad 324 er det kjent substituerte cyclo-propyImethoxyanilider, fremstilling og anvendelse av disse som herbicider.
Fra den generelle formel på side 2 i denne søknad
fremgår det at gruppen
kan være bundet til fenyl-
ringen i ortho-, meta- eller parastilling. Fra tabell I fremgår det imidlertid at forbindelsene er bundet i meta- og parastilling, og at den overveiende andel av disse er meta-derivater av cyclopropylmethoxyanilider, som dermed adskiller seg fra foreliggende forbindelser, som alle er para-derivater.
Ennvidere kan de kjente para-derivater tilbakeføres til carboxylsyreanilider, mens foreliggende forbindelser er carbanilsyreestere.
Blant de kjente forbindelser har riktignok forbindelse 32 en struktur som kan betraktes som nærliggende foreliggende forbindelser, men denne utviser den grunnleggende forskjell at den inneholder et svovelatom.
Foreliggende herbicide midler er ennvidere overlegne de kjente midler.
Fra side 4, 2. og 3. avsnitt i den motholdte EP-søknad fremgår det at de kjente midler kan anvendes selektivt på hvete og bygg. Foreliggende herbicide midler kan derimot også anvendes på havre, rug, poteter og ris, hvorved de utviser en langt større anvendelsesbredde.
Betrakter man den herbicide aktivitet av de kjente forbindelser 9, 21 og 32, ser man at disse, selv ved den meget høye anvendelsesmengde på 8,98 kg/ha, ikke har noen, eller bare en utilstrekkelig virkning på gress og bredbladede ugress, og hvor bare forbindelse 32 fremkaller en fullstendig tilintetgjørelse av bredbladet ugress. I motsetning til dette bevirker foreliggende herbicide nidlerj en fullstendig tilintetgjørelse av disse ugress allerede ved en anvendelsesmengde på 0,3 kg/ha (dvs. 1/30 av mengden) slik som utførlig angitt i foreliggende eksempel 5.
For bekjempelse av disse frøugress er mengder på 0,5 til 5 kg av virkestoff/hektar som regel tilstrekkelig, hvorved de nye forbindelser utviser en selektiv virkning i nytteplantekulturer slik som hvete, bygg, havre, rug, poteter og ris.
De nye forbindelser kan enten anverides alene eller
i blanding med hverandre eller med andre virkestoffer. Eventuelt kan andre løvfellingsmidler, plantebeskyttelsesmidler eller skadedyrbekjempningsmidler tilsettes alt etter ønskede formål.
Såfremt en utvidelse av virkningsspekteret ønskes, kan også andre herbizider tilsettes. Eksempelvis er som herbizid virksom blandingspartner egnet forbindelser av gruppen triaziner, aminotriazoler, anilider, diaziner, uraciler, alifatiske carboxylsyrer og halogencarboxylsyrer, substituerte benzoesyrer og aryloxycarboxylsyrer, hydrazider, amider, nitriler, estere av slike carboxylsyrer, carbamidsyre- og thiocarbamidsyreestere, urea, 2,3,6-triklorbenzyloxypropanil, rhadanholdige midler og andre tilsetningsstoffer.
Blant andre tilsatsstoffer kan eksempelvis forstås ikke-fytotoksiske tilsatsstoffer som med herbizidene kan gi en synergistisk aktivitetsøkning, såvel som andre fuktemidler, emulgatorer, løsningsmidler og oljeaktige tilsetningsstoffer.
Fortrinnsvis anvendes de nye aktive forbindelser eller blandinger av disse i form av tilberedelser slik som pulvere, strømidler, granulater, løsninger, emulsjoner eller suspensjoner, under tilsetning av flytende og/eller faste bærere henholdsvis fortynningsmidler og eventuelt av fukte-, hefte-, emulgerings- og/eller dispergeringshjelpemidler.
Egnede flytende bærere er eksempelvis vann, alifatiske og aromatiske~ hydrbcarboner slik som benzen, toluen, xylen, cyclohexanon, isoforon, dimethylsulfoxyd, dimethylformamid og mineraloljefraksjoner.
Som faste bærere egner seg mineraljord slik som f.eks. leire, silicagel, talkum, kaolin, attapulgusleire, kalkstein, kiselsyre og planteprodukter, f.eks. mel.
Som overflateaktive stoffer kan eksempelvis nevnes kalciumligninsulfonat, polyoxyethylen-alkylfenolether, nafthalinsyre og deres salter, fenolsulfonsyre og deres salter, formaldehydkondensater, fettalkoholsulfater såvel substituerte benzolsulfonsyrer og deres salter.
Andelen av aktivt stoff i de forskjellige tilberedelser kan variere innen vide grenser. Eksempelvis inneholder middelet 10 - 90 vekt% aktivt stoff, 90 - 10 vekt% flytende eller faste bærere såvel som opp til 20 vekt% overflate-aktivt stoff.
Utbringelseav midlet kan skje på vanlig måte, eksempelvis med vann som bærer i sprøytemengder på fra 100 til 1000 liter/ha. Anvendelse av midlet i såkalt "Low-Volume" og "Ultra-Low-Volume-metoden" er også mulig såvel som påføring i form av såkalte mikrogranulater.
Blant de nye forbindelser er særlig kjennetegn
ved en meget god selektiv herbizid virkning forbindelsene av den ovenfor angitte generelle formel hvori R^ er methyl, ethyl, propyl, isopropyl, allyl, 2-methyl-2-propenyl, 2-propinyl, 2-klorethyl eller benzyl, R2 betegner hydrogen eller klor, R-j betegner hydrogen, methyl eller ethyl, R^ betegner hydrogen, methyl eller fenyl, R^ og Rg betegner klor.
En fremragende-selektiv herbizid virkning har slut-telig forbindelser av den ovenfor angitte generelle formel hvori R-^ betegner methyl, ethyl, propyl, isopropyl, allyl eller 2-methyl-2-propenyl, R2 betegner hydrogen, R^ og R^ betegner hydrogen eller methyl og R^ og R^ betegner klor.
De nye forbindelser fremstilles ved at
a) forbindelser av generell formel
omsettes med forbindelser av generell formel -
løst i et løsningsmiddel, for eksempel eddikester og vann, og i nærvær av ekvimolare mangder av en uorganisk base, for eksempel natriumhydroxyd, magnesiumoxyd, natrium- eller kaliumcarbonat, eller en tertiær organisk base slik som for eksempel triethylamih, ellér
b) forbindelser av generell" formel
omsettes først med fosgen til tilsvarende isocyanat, som deretter omsettes med forbindelsér av generell formel R1OH
løst i et løsningsmiddel og i nærvær av katalytiske mengder av en base slik som triethylamin, og at fremgangsmåteproduk-tet deretter isoleres på vanlig måte, hvorved R-j^ Rg har de ovenfor angitte betydninger.
Utgangsproduktet for fremstilling av de nye forbindelser er kjent eller lar seg fremstille etter kjente metoder.
2-halogen-4-nitrofenol alkyleres eksempelvis først
i et polart aprotisk løsningsmiddel og i nærvær av en ekvi-molar mengde av en base med det tilsvarende halomethyldi-halogencyclopropyl, hvorved alkyleringen av fenolen også kan gjennomføres som faseoverføringskatalysert reaksjon.
For den derpå følgende, reduksjon av den aromatiske nitrogruppe løses eksempelvis 3-klor-4-(2,2-diklorcyclopropyl-methoxy)-nitrobenzol i ethanol og nitrogruppen reduseres ved temperaturer mellom 60 og 100° C med en blanding av hydrazin og Raney-nikkel. Deretter kan det foretas en partiell reduksjon av et halogenatom i treringen. De etterfølgende eksempler illustrerer fremstilling av de nye forbindelser.
Eksempel 1
3- klor- 4-( 2, 2- diklorcyclopropylmethoxy)- carbanilsyre-methylester
17,4 (0,1 mol) 2-klor-4-nitrofenol ble løst i 100 ml dimethylformamid og porsjonsvis tilsatt en knust blanding av 900 ml natriumjodid og 16,3 g (0,11 mol) kaliumcarbonat vann-fritt. Deretter ble tilsatt 23 g (0,11 mol) 1-brommethyl-2,2-diklorcyclopropan og reaksjonsblandingen ble omrørt i 5 timer ved 80° C. Etter avkjøling ble blandingen innrørt i 500 ml isvann. Det utfelte produkt ble fraskilt og vasket
med vann. Utbyttet av 3-klor-4-(2,2-diklorcyclopropylmethoxy)-nitrobenzol var
23,3 g = 79 % teoretisk
Sm.p.: 73 - 74° C
23,3 g (0,079 mol) 3-klor-4-(2,2-diklorcyclopropyl-methoxy ) -nitrobenzol ble løst i 90 ml ethanol og tilsatt 14,2 ml (0,28 mol) 99 %-ig hydrazinhydrat. For reduksjon av nitrogruppen ble under omrøring og avkjøling totalt tilsatt
■pa. 3 g Raney-nikkel. Reaksjonstemperaturen skulle derved ikke overstige 60° C. Fullført reaksjon ble observert ved at den gule farve på nitroforbindelsen forsvant.
Etter endt reaksjon ble tilsatt noe Raney-nikkel for å øde-legge overskudd av hydrazin. Den varme blanding ble filtrert og filtratet inndampet til 1-0-x 15 ml. Etter tilsetning av ca. 10 ml konsentrert saltsyre ble hydrokloridet ut-felt. Dette ble fraskilt og nøytralisert med vandig natrium-bicarbonatløsning. Det fri anilin ble ekstrahert med eddikester og eddikesterfasen ble inndampet. Det ble erholdt 14,4 g = 69 % av teoretisk av 3-klor-4-(2,2-diklorcyclo-propyImethoxy)-an i1in.
14,20 g (0,053 mol) 3-klor-4-(2,2-diklorcyclopro-pylmethoxy) -anilin ble løst 100 ml eddikester og tilsatt 25
ml vann såvel som 1,22 g (0,030 mol) magnesiumoxyd. Under omrøring ble 4,54 ml (0,058 mol) klormaursyremethylester i 10 ml eddikester langsomt dråpevis tilsatt. Reaksjonsblandingen ble deretter oppvarmet til 4 5° C. Etter 1 time var omsetningen fullstendig. Overskudd av magnesiumoxyd ble bragt i løsning med fortynnet saltsyre. Deretter ble den organiske fase fraskilt, vasket nøytralt med vann, tørket over magnesiumsulfat, filtrert og filtratet ble inndampet til tørrhet. Sm. 78 - 79° C, utbytte: 14,5 g = 83,9 % av teoretisk.
3-klor-4-(2,2-diklorcyclopropylmethoxy)-carbanilsyremethyl-ester.
Eksempel 2
3- klor- 4-( 2, 2- diklorcyclopropylmethoxy)- carbanilsyre- n-propylester
47,0 g (0,176 mol) 3-klor-4-(2,2-diklorcyclopropyl-methoxy ) -anilin ble løst i 700 ml toluen. Under utelukkelse av fuktighet og under kraftig omrøring ble HCl-gass innført til anilinet fullstendig forelå som hydroklorid. Reaksjons-tiden var ca. 30 minutter. Deretter ble blandingen oppvarmet til 80 90° C og under omrøring ble en svak fosgenstrøm inn-ledet. Reaksjonstemperaturen ble holdt ved 80 - 90° C. Etter ca. 2 timer var hydrokloridet fullstendig omsatt til isocyanat. Etter endt reaksjons (klar løsning) ble toluenet avdestillert i vannstrålevakuum. Deretter ble residuet frak-sjonert i oljepumpevakuum. K.p. 0,2 = 145 - 147° C, utbytte: 28 g = 54 % av teoretisk 3-klor-4-(2,2^diklorcyclopropylméthoxy)-fenyl-isocyanat.
8,0 g (0,0273 mol) 3-klor-4-(2,2-diklorcyclopropyl-methoxy) -f enyl isocyanat ble løst i 100 ml absolutt diethyl-
ether og tilsatt 3 draper triethylamin. Ved romtemperatur ble. under omrøring og fravær av fuktighet dråpevis tilsatt 2,1 ml (0,0273 mol) n-propanol i 10 ml absolutt diethylether.
For fullstendig omsetning ble blandingen kokt under tilbakeløpskjøling i 2 timer. Deretter ble etheren destillert fra og det urene prddukt ble krystallisert fra eddikester/hexan. Sm.p.: 57 - 59° C, utbytte: 9,20 g = 95 % av teoretisk. 3-klor-4-(2,2-diklorcyclopropylmethoxy)-carbanilsyre-n-propylester.
På analog måte ble følgende forbindelser fremstilt:
De nye forbindelser er godt løselige i aceton, eddiksyreethylester og alkohol. Derimot er de tungt løselige i benzen og praktisk talt uløselige i mettede hydrocarboner og vann.
De etterfølgende eksempler illustrerer anvendelses-mulighetene for de nye forbindelser i tilsvarende tilbered-ninger .
Eksempel 3
I veksthus ble de i den etterfølgende tabell angitte nye forbindelser som vandige emulsjoner hhv. suspensjoner sprøytet i mengder på 5 kg aktivt stoff/ha i 500 liter vann/ ha på de i tabellen angitte planter i postemergensmetoden. 3 uker etter behandlingen ble behandlingsresultatet vurdert, hvorved 0 = ingen virkning og 4 = ødeleggelse av plantene.
Som det fremgår av tabellen ble det oppnådd en ødeleggelse av ugressplantene mens byggkulturen forble ubeskadi-get.
Eksempel 4
I veksthus ble de i tabellen angitte nytteplanter etter emergens behandlet med de nye forbindelser som vandige emulsjoner hhv. suspensjoner i en mengde på 3 kg aktivt stoff/ha, idet tilberedelsen ble jevnt sprøytet over plantene.
3 uker etter behandlingen ble behandlingsresultatet vurdert etter et skjema fra 0 til 10 hvor 0 = fullstendig ødeleggelse og 10 = ingen beskadigelse. 3 uker etter behandling viste de nye forbindelser en høy forenlighet mens sammenlig-ningsmidlet ikke utviste dette.
Eksempel 5
I veksthus ble de i tabellen angitte nytteplanter etter emergens behandlet med de nye forbindelser som vandige emulsjoner hhv. suspensjoner i en mengde på 0,3 kg aktivt stoff/ha, idet tilberedningene ble sprøytet jevnt over plantene. 3 uker etter behandlingen ble behandlingsresultatet vurdert etter et skjema fra 0 til 10 hvor 0 = total ødeleggelse og 10 = ingen beskadigelse. 3 uker etter behandlingen viste de nye forbindelser en meget god virkning i motsetning til sammenlignings-midlet.

1. Substituerte carbanilsyreestere, karakterisert ved at de har generell formel
hvori R-^ betegner C^-Cg-alkyl, C2-Cg-alkenyl, <C>2<->Cg-alkynyl, eller f enyl-C-L-C5-alkyl, R2 betegner hydrogen eller klor,R^ betegner hydrogen eller C-^-Cg-alkyl, R^ betegner hydrogen, C-^-Cg-alkyl eller f enyl, R<- betegner halogen og Rg betegner halogen.
2. Selektivt herbicid middel, karakterisert ved at det inneholder én eller flere halogen-4-(halogencyclopropylmethoxy)-carbanilsyreestere ifølge krav 1, eventuelt i blanding med bærer og/eller hjelpestoffer .
