Description
Oppfinnelsen vedrører fremstilling av vannfrie,
for drivstoff-formål egnet isopropylalkohol.
Den katalytiske hydratisering av olefiner i gassfase ved forhøyet temperatur, forhøyet trykk og et molart vannolefinforhold på 0,5 - 1:1 har vært kjent lenge. Som katalysator har det spesielt vist seg egnet på forskjellige baerematerialer påførte fosforsyrer. Bærematerialer som kommer i betrakt-ning er f..eks. kiselsyre, silikater, diatoméjord, aluminiumsili-kater osv.
De etter kjente katalytiske hydratiseringsfremgangs-måter fremstilte alkoholer anvendes som oppløsningsmidler såvel for reaksjonene som også for andre spesielle formål. De må være fri for biprodukter, hvilket krever en omstendelig rensning. Således må den i syntesen frembragte råalkohol i første rekke be-handles i vaskeekstraktivt arbeidende kolonner og deretter renses i fire ytterligere kolonner, rektifiseres og avvannes. Dessuten må det for fjerning av vannet anvendes et fremmed slepemiddel (bensin/benzen, cykloheksan) for å fjerne alkohol-vann-azeotropen. Mange, fremgangsmåter arbeider også med etere, som dietyleter eller diisopropyleter, ved fremstilling av alkoholer, som isopropylalkohol.
Det er kjent at isopropylalkohol'på grunn av dets høye oktantall, dets vannoppløselighet, dets motorrensende virk-ning og fremfor alt dets avgassforbedrende egenskaper er en utmerket drivstoffkomponent. Ren isopropylalkohol, som omtalt ovenfor, finner imidlertid, på tross av dets meget positive egenskaper, ingen eller bare ubetydelig anvendelse i drivstoffer for Ottomotorer, da denne anvendelse ikké viser seg som økonomisk.
Det var derfor oppfinnelsens oppgave å utvikle en spesielt fordelaktig fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av for driv-stof f ormål egnet isopropylalkohol.
Oppfinnelsens gjenstand er en fremgangsmåte til fremstilling av en som drivstoffkomponent for kjøretøybensin egnet., vannfri blanding av isopropylalkohol, diisopropyleter og biprodukter ved katalytisk hydratisering av propylen i gassfase ved temperaturer på 140 - 170°C og trykk på 25 - Ho ato, idet fremgangsmåten er karakterisert ved det molare vann/olefinforhold utgjør 0,1 - 0,25:1 og avvanning av råproduktet foregår i bare to kolonner uten anvendelse av et fremmed slepemiddel med den i fremgangsmåten selv dannede diisopropyleter som slepemiddel,
som deretter tilsettes sluttproduktet med alle ekstra dannede biprodukter.
Etter oppnåelse av et for spaltning av vann-iso-propylalkoholazeotrop nødvendige eterkonsentrasjon i avvannings-kolonnen tilsettes altså den i syntesen, dannede, overskytende eter såvel som alle frembragte biprodukter, som spesielt n-propanol, aceton, heksanol og hydrokarboner til den avvannede isopropanol; Dette virker utbytteøkende og er ved styringen ifølge oppfinnelsen av syntesedelen på ingen måte uheldig for sluttproduktet, som i maksimalt tilfelle kan inneholde inntil 10$ diisopropyleter og biprodukter. De lave reaksjonstemperaturer påvirker gunstig omsetningen av propylen til isopropanol, da stillingen av likevekten forskyver seg til gunst for isopropanol-dannelse. ' På grunn av det lille vanndamppartialtrykk kunne lave reaksjonstemperaturer imidlertid bare innstilles ved små vann-olefin-forhold, hvilket først'var mulig ved anvendelsen av den dannede eter som slepemiddel og bestanddel av sluttproduktet fremstilt ifølge oppfinnelsen. ' Ved det lille vann-olefin-forhold og de lave reaksjonstemperaturer er det mulig med en energimessig meget gunstig reaksjonsføring. Tap av slepemiddel erstattes ved det dannede diisopropyleter.
Fremgangsmåten ifølge oppfinnelsen skal forklares nærmere under henvisning til tegningen.
Gjennom ledning 1 innføres propylen og gjennom
ledning 2 prosessvann i den i det vesentlige propylenholdige omløpsgass 3- Strømmen 3 oppvarmes i motstrømmer 4 og etter overopphetning i toppfordamper 5 tilføres til reaktor 6 og her omsettes hovedsakelig til isopropylalkohol. Dessuten oppstår, imidlertid også diisopropyleter og andre biprodukter. Reaksjonsproduktet i ledning 7 etterkjøles etter å ha passert mot s-t rømmeren 4 i kjøleren 8. En blanding av isopropanol og diisopropyleter,
biprodukter og overskuddsvann tilføres fra gassvasker 9 gjennom ledning 11 til foravvanningskolonne 12. Ikke omsatt og for reaksjonsproduktet befridd propylen blir ved hjelp av kompressor 10 over ledning 3 tilført igjen til reaktoren. I foravvanningskolonne 12 konsentreres■den i syntesen dannede fortynnede råalkohol sammen med alle biprodukter ved rektifikasjon til nær den azeotropiske konsentrasjon. Sammen med biproduktene går isopropylalkoholen over toppen av kolonnen 12 gjennom ledning 11 til oppkokeren 15 mens avvannet forlater kolonnens sump over ledning 13. Kolonnen 12 drives under tilstrekkelig trykk, 3 - 7 atmosfærer, for at den latente varme i kolonnens dampfase skal kunne utnyttes ved kondensasjon av dampen i varmelegemer i hoved-avvanningskolonne 18. En delmengde av det i oppkoker 15 konden-serte topprodukt fra kolonne 12 føres gjennom ledning 16 som til-bakeløp til kolonne 12, mens restmengden kjøres gjennom ledning 17 som matning i kolonne 18. Hovedavvanningskolonnen tjener til spaltning av det azeotrope isopropanol/vann med .den i prosessen selv frembragte diisopropyleter. Denne anriker seg i toppen på en konsentrasjon på ca. 60%, således etter flytendegjøring av dampen i kjøleren 20 kan det i den etterkoblede dekantør 21 fore-gå separering i et praktisk talt vannfritt øvre sjikt og et rest-vannholdig nedre sjikt. Mens det vannfrie sjikt kjøres tilbake gjennom ledning 22 i hovedkolonnen blir det vannholdige sjikt gjennom ledning 23 for gjenvinning av deri inneholdte organiske produkter kjørt tilbake i foravvanningskolonnen 12, som copnas sin energi over oppkoker 24. Hovedavvannerens sump forlater gjennom ledning 19 et vannfritt produkt bestående av ca. 95$ isopropylalkohol, ca. J>% isopropyleter og ca. 2% andre biprodukter som uten videre etterbehandling kan tilsettes direkte til kjøre-bensinen for Ottomotorer.
Eksempel 1.
Ved en reaktorutløpstemperatur på 150°C og et trykk på 40 ato kan ved.et molart vann-propylenforhold på 0,2:1 fra reaksjonsblandingen uttas en råalkohol som har følgende sammensetning:

Biproduktene består i det vesentlige av'n-propanol, aceton, heksanol og hydrokarboner.
Etter vanriadskillelse i foravvanningskolonne 12 til-føres hovedavvanningskolonnen 18 et produkt, som er sammensatt som følger:
Hovedavvanningskolonnen med dertil hørende dekantør oppdeler denne blanding i følgende delstrømmer:
Som katalysator ble det anvendt fosforsyre pa et bentonitholdig bærematerial.
Eksempel 2.
Til en normalbensin med 0,15 g/liter blytetraetyl
og et ROZ på 87,5 tilblandes 10% av den i eksempel 1 under sammensetning av produktet i ledning 19 viste produkt. ROZ øker derved med 4 punkter til 91»5. Samtidig reduseres derved skadestoffkomponentene av avgassen i Europaprøven som følger: Karbonmonoksyd: Nedgang fra ~ b% til 2%
Hydrokarboner: Nedgang fra 300 ppm til 250 ppm.
Eksempel 3•
Til et superdrivstoff med 0,15 g/liter blytetraetyl og et ROZ på 96 øker oktantallet ved tilblanding av 10% av den i eksempel 1 under sammensetning av produktet i ledning 19 spesi-fiserte produkt fra 96 til 98,5. Skadestoffkomponentene i tomløp reduseres derved som følger:
Karbonmonoksyd: Fra k% til 2,8$
Hydrokarboner: Fra 450 ppm til 350 ppm.
Claims (3)
1. Fremgangsmåte til fremstilling av en som drivstoffkomponent for kjøretøybensin egnet, vannfri blanding av isopropylalkohol, diisopropyleter og biprodukter ved katalytisk hydratisering av propylen i gassfase ved temperaturer på 140 - 170°C og trykk på 25 - 40 ato, karakterisert ved at det molare vann/olefin-forhold utgjør 0,1 - 0,25:1 og råproduktets avvanning foregår i bare to kolonner uten innsats av et fremmed slepemiddel med det i fremgangsmåten selv dannede diisopropyleter som slepemiddel, som deretter med alle ekstra dannede biprodukter tilsettes til sluttproduktet.
2. ' Fremgangsmåte ifølge krav 1, karakterisert ved at foravvanningskolonnen drives under trykk fra 3 til 7 ato, idet den latente varme av dets dampformede topp-produkt tjener til oppvarmning av hovedavvanningskolonnen.
3. Fremgangsmåte ifølge krav 1, karakterisert ved at det fra blandingen av vann, isopropanol, diisopropyleter og høyere alkoholer som uttas fra toppen av hovedavvanningskolonnen, fjernes diisopropyleter og resten av blandingen tilbakeføres til foravvanningskolonnen.
