Werkwijze voor de ‘bereiding van met zinksulfide gepigmenteerde, thermoplastische polybutyleentereftalaatvormmassa’s.
De uitvinding heeft betrekking op een werkwijze voor de bereiding van met zinksulfide gepigmenteerde, thermoplastische polybu-tyleentereftalaatvormmassa1s.
Een dergelijke werkwijze is bekend uit de Nederlandse octrooi-5 aanvrage 6407652, dat als pigment o.a. lithopoon noemt.
Gevonden werd een werkwijze van het in de aanhef genoemde type, die is gekenmerkt, doordat men vormmassa’s gebruikt, die met IO-60 gew.?ó glasvezels, betrokken op de vormmassa’s, versterkt zijn.
Bovengenoemde Nederlandse octrooiaanvrage 6407652 heeft be-10 trekking op vezel- en filmvormende polyesters, die normaliter geen glasvezels bevatten.
De toepassing van glasvezels in vormmassa’s uit verzadigde diolen en verzadigde aromatische dicarbonzuren is op zich bekend uit de Nederlandse octrooiaanvrage 6515222. Hierin wordt als voor-15 beeld alleen polyethyleentereftalaat genoemd.
De in onderstaand voorbeeld I toegelichte verbeterde mechanische eigenschappen van de vormmassa’s volgens de uitvinding is echter noch uit beide bovengenoemde 1 iteratuurplaatsen afzonderlijk noch in combinatie af te leiden.
20 Het toe te passen zinksulfide heeft by voorkeur de sfaleriet- of wurzietstructuur. Goede kleureigenschappen en dekkracht worden met fijnkorrelige pigmenten bereikt. Bjj voorkeur worden pigmenten met een zeefresidu, proefzeefweefsel 0,04 volgens DIN 4180, volgens DIN 55*580 van kleiner dan 0,01 gew.% toegepast. De pigmenten 25 kunnen van een oppervlaktebehandeling zijn voorzien, die de disper-geerbaarheid in de kunststoffen verbetert.
De vormmassa’s kunnen verder glazen bolletj.es, minerale vulstoffen, zoals krijt, mica en talk, alsmede verwejrkingshulpmiddelen, stabilisatoren, organische pigmenten en kleurstoffen bevatten.
50 Ter bereiding van de vormmassa’s volgens de uitvinding zijn alle daartoe geschikte werkwijzen toepasbaar, bijvoorbeeld in een kneedinrichting, waarbij de thermoplastische kunststof wordt ge- . smolten en met de glasvezels, pigmenten, vulstoffen en andere toevoegsels wordt gemengd. Het volgens de uitvinding toegepaste zink-55 sulfide kan ook in de vorm van een concentraat worden toegepast.
Het kan op de kunststof, v<5<5r de bereiding van het mengsel, worden getrommeld, of later worden toegevoegd.

De uitvinding wordt nader toegelicht aan de hand van de onderstaande voorheelden.
Voorbeeld I.
a) 65 gew.dln polybutyleentereftalaat werden met 0,8 gew.% titaan-5 dioxyde met rut iel structuur (Mohs-hardheid 6,0-6,5) in een "Pluid- menginrichting" gemengd en vervolgens op een extrusie-inrichting ZSK van de fa. Werner & Pfleiderer gesmolten, Na de smeltzone werden door een opening 30 gew.% glasvezels erin gebracht.
b) Proef a) werd herhaald, waarbij in plaats van titaaWdioxyde 1,0 10 gew.% zinksulfide met wurziet-structuur (Mohs-hardheid 3»5) werden toegepast.
Aan door spuitgieten verkregen genormaliseerde staven werden daarbij de volgende mechanische waarden gemeten:

Voorbeeld II:
Op analoge wijze als in voorbeeld I werden mengsels uit polybutyleentereftalaat en glasvezels bereid, waarbij echter naast de witte pigmenten nog organische kleurstoffen met ftalocyanine-25 structuur worden bijgemengd, waarbij bijvoorbeeld blauw of groen gekleurde produkten worden verkregen. Aan deze mengsels worden praktisch identiek mechanische waarden gemeten als aan de monsters van voorbeeld I.
