Abstract

A harvesting machine for champignons in beds consists of a reciprocating blade with a horizontal cutting edge, followed by a raised part. An endless belt with flights revolves above the blade and sweeps the mushrooms over the edge of the blade on a transverse belt conveyor. This automates the harvesting with teh minimum of damage to the mushrooms. The machine has a high output and saves much labour.
