Abstract

The transporter comprises two endless flexible conveyor belts (11, 12) whose active parts (17, 18) face one another and whose edges are supported by guide rollers (19, 20). A vacuum pump, maintains a pressure differential between the space outside and the space between the belts. The material introduced by guide (1, 10) at the bottom is received by further tansporter (26) at the top. The feed comprises a digging rotor (1) and a shute (10) of which the receiving end connects with the upper end of the rotor whilst its dispensing end extends to an area between the belts held apart by rollers (21). Air flow nozzles (30), assist movement along the shute and produce an airflow between the belts.
