Abstract

1,175,201. Conveying cigarettes. MOLINS MACHINE CO. Ltd. 13 Jan., 1967 [14 Jan., 1966], No. 1952/66. Heading B8A. Cigarettes are fed from the left by upper and lower endless belts 4 and 3 and move therefrom along shoots 1 and 2 to packing machines, the movement being further assisted by upper and lower belts 17 and 16. Any surplus of cigarettes is accommodated by floats 36 and 43 which move upwards to accommodate the surplus of cigarettes and at the same time float 36 operates a switch to reduce the speed of belts 4 and 3 and float 43 operates a switch to switch off belts 19 and 18. Element 28 is agitated by cam 33 to agitate the cigarettes which are also agitated by roller 14.
