Abstract

1,082,942. Endless conveyers. MOLINS ORGANISATION Ltd., D. W. MOLINS, D. T. N. WILLIAMSON and H. A. STONE. April 9, 1964 [April 10, 1963], No. 14366/63. Heading B8A. Cigarette stubs 5 in a hopper 1 are fed by a primary conveyer belt 2 to a secondary belt 18. The stubs are divided by a member 36 to pass either on to a delivery conveyer belt 22 or on to a transfer belt 33. The belt 22 feeds a machine (not shown) for assembling cigarettes and stubs The transfer belt 33 feeds a second secondary belt 38 which leads to a deflector member similar to the member 36. The latter is associated with a second delivery belt (not shown) and second transfer belt (not shown). The final secondary belt 39 feeds a final delivery belt 41 and a final transfer belt 46, the output of which is carried to a belt 49 which builds the stubs up against a wall 69 to constitute a reserve. Detectors 70, 71 maintain a predetermined lower and upper limits of level on the reserve belt 49 by stopping a feed belt 66 or stopping the primary belt 2 respectively.
