Abstract

1400555 Conveying material in endless travelling tubes PILKINGTON BROS Ltd 10 May 1973 [16 May 1972] 22993/72 Heading B8A An endless tubular cross-section conveyer belt 11, longitudinally slit at 19 (Fig. 4), is supported laterally and from beneath, by rollers 15, 16, 18 of diabolo shape. The end rollers 13, 14 are of barrel shape in order to cause the belt to open for feeding the material from a shoot 31, and discharge to a shoot 32, respectively. Alternatively the belt may be opened by the action of the feed shoot (Fig. 5) or by a wheel disposed over the discharge shoot (Fig. 6).
