Abstract

The harvesting machine has a chassis with means for picking beans from plants standing in the field, and also devices for cleaning the crop. The cleaning devices are mounted one above the other. There can be a conveyor (1) delivering the crop from the picking devices to a chamber (2). Above the chamber inlet are one or more fans (9) generating an upwards draught in the chamber. The size of the chamber inlet can be adjustable. There can be a further conveyor (29) below the inlet, extending across the machine, with its discharge end in a passage in which a fan generates an upwards draught.
