Abstract
In a vehicle tyre of the known type consisting of a ring-shaped body of rubber or other elastic material, which can be accepted in the rim of the wheel, has a tread surface on the outside, and encloses one or more hollow chambers filled with air at atmospheric pressure, the tyre consists of two parts which when assembled on the wheel lie with their inner and outer edges together along the medium plane, and which are provided in the tread zone with mutually co-operating closure elements. By making the tyre in two parts, assembly on the rim, which is very difficult if the tyre is a single ring, is made quite easy. The provision of the internal cavities is also made easier.
