Abstract

The arrangement is designed to measure the electrical parameters of computer ferrite cores, to enable them to be sorted. The cores (1) are transported past a measuring place (2) and positioned by a rotating member (3) containing sockets (4). A mechanical coupling is made to the conductor core (5) and an electrical circuit is completed through low voltage terminals (6, ) to the test unit (8). If a defective core is detected, a signal is past to a detector circuit (9) which operates a pulveriser (10). The system is sensitive to the tolerance limits which are acceptable for the ferrite cores, which are moved intermittently defective cores being destroyed and acceptable cores being collected for subsequent use in the computer.
