Abstract

The unit has a primary air duct with vertical stub ducts each terminating in a nozzle. The nozzles are within the bell mouth of an air duct which stretches through an extension cross over piece to a discharge. An air inlet allows room air to reach the entry of the bell mouth. The inlet is at the bottom and the discharge at the top of the casing containing the entire assembly. The discharge of primary air through the jets entrains room air into the bell mouth so that it mixes with the primary air in the air duct. The mixture then passes into the room at a moderate temperature. Because the primary air can be at a higher temperature a smaller quantity is needed.
