Abstract

The bolt is particularly for a hermetically-sealed sliding door, having a first locking device on the door side, engaging when shut with a second device in the doorpost. The first device swings in the horizontal plane with the aid of locking members, and has a hook end engaging behind a mating hook-shaped portion formed on the second device. The first device can be in the form of a hinging horizontal arm. The locking members can comprise a slide, against which the first device is spring-loaded, and a release lever, thrusting the first device out of engagement via the slide, which can be cylindrical, and turnable about its axis, with a hand grip on the outside of the door.
