Abstract

When the mechanism is installed, the secondary side can only be opened when the main side is also open. The control to this mechanism is located on the same level as the door handle, thereby eliminating the need to bend down. The mechanism comprises two casement bolts (2, 3) one on the side normally in operation (4) and the other on the secondary side (5), each one having a bolt (6, 24) interlocking with a catch (10, 25) on the other side which prevents the secondary side opening accidentally when the main side is locked in the closed position.
