THE METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE PALLET (10) BEGINS BY PREPARING THE MOULDABLE COMPOSITION (216). A MOULD CAVITY (211) IS LOADED WITH THE MOULDABLE COMPOSITION (216) UP TO ABOUT 90 % OF THE CAPACITY OF THE MOULD CAVITY (211) BEFORE APPLYING A PACKING PRESSURE OF BETWEEN ABOUT 2999 TO 5998 KPA (435 TO 870 PSI) TO THE MOULDABLE COMPOSITION (216). A PREDETERMINED CLEARANCE OF BETWEEN ABOUT 0.] TO 0.5 MM IS MAINTAINED BETWEEN A FIRST MOULD PART (210) DEFINING THE MOULD CAVITY (211) AND A SECOND MOULD PART (212). A MOULDED PRODUCT IS REMOVED FROM THE MOULD CAVITY (211) WHEN THE MOULDABLE COMPOSITION (216) IS SUBSTANTIALLY CURED.
