Abstract

La invencion proporciona un procedimiento para preparar 6-alcoxi-3-(4-alcoxifenil)benzo[b]tiofenos con buen rendimiento, a escala industrial y sin generar una pasta espesa que reduzca potencialmente el rendimiento. La invencion proporciona tambien metodos para convertir (-(-alcoxifenil- tio)-4-alcoxiacetofenonas en 6-hidroxi-2-(4-hidroxifenil)-3-[4-(2-aminoetoxi)be nzoil)benzo[b]tiofenos mediante acilacion de un dialcoxibenzo[b]tiofeno. Cada una de estas preparaciones depende de una ciclacion intramolecular de un derivado de dialcoxiacetofenona, que da un benzo[b]tiofeno sin generar una pasta espesa que disminuya los rendimientos globales a escala industrial.
