Abstract

En la presente se proporcionan secuencias de ADN que codifican enzimas de vde de planta. Las secuencias pueden ser unidas a secuencias de ADN heterologo para utilizarse como sondas y en construcciones de ADN para modificar el genotipo de un organismo huesped. Se proveen construcciones de ADN para modificar un fenotipo de celula huesped alterando la cantidad de enzima de fotoproteccion presente en la celula huesped. En celulas huesped que contienen plasmido, los niveles de zeaxantina y sensibilidad a la luz pueden ser modificados a traves de alteraciones en el nivel de enzimas de vde.
