Abstract
Durante una operacion normal de un motor de camion (12), un oxidante parcial catalitico (30) proporciona syngas (hidrogeno y monoxido de carbono) para regenerar trampas de NOx (35), por breves periodos de tiempo, o se desvia (33) a la entrada (13) de un motor (12) via el sistema EGR (43-46). Algo de hidrogeno es extraido del syngas por un separador de membrana de paladio (63) y pasa a la entrada de combustible (52) de una pila de celda de combustible (51). La pila (51) proporciona energia electrica auxiliar al camion. Al aire humedo de la salida de aire (55) de la pila se proporciona a un mezclador estatico de combustible/escape/aire (25). Un dispositivo de metanizacion (66) puede convertir CO, fugado a traves de las membranas de paladio, en CH4.
