Abstract
Los compuestos de la formula (I): ver formula (I) [en donde: R1 es un enlace directo, oxigeno, un grupo >CH2, azufre, un grupo >C=O, un grupo -(CH2)2-, o un grupo -N-Ra, en donde Ra es hidrogeno o alquilo; R3,R4,R5,y R6 son hidrogeno o sustituyentes (; R8,R9,R10, y R11 son hidrogeno, hidroxilo o alquilo, o R9 y R11 se unen para formar un sistema de anillo fusionado con los anillos de benceno con los que estan unidos, R7 es un enlace directo, oxigeno, o un grupo - CH2-; p es 0 o 1 ;los sustituyentes ( son: alquilo, alcoxilo, alquenilo, halogeno, nitrilo, hidroxilo, arilo, aralquilo, ariloxilo, aralquiloxilo, arialquenilo, cicloalquilo, carboxilo, carboxialcoxilo, alcoxicarbonilo, ariloxicarbonilo, alquilcarboniloxilo, alcansulfoniilo, aresulfonilo, alcanoilo, o aril-carbonilo; n es de 1 a 12; R12 es hidrogeno, metilo o etilo; A es un grupo [O (CHR13CHR14) a] y-, -[O(CH2)bCO]y-, o -[O(CH2)bCO] (y-)- [O(CHR13CHR14)a]-, en donde: uno R13 Y R14 es hidrogeno, y el otro es un hidrogeno, metilo o etilo, a es 1 a 2, b es de 4 a 5; Q es un residuo de un compuesto de polihidroxilo que tiene de 2 a 6 grupos hidroxilo, x ex un numero mayor que 1 pero no mayor que el numero de grupos hidroxilo disponibles en Q; y es un numero de 1 a 10; y x- es un anion]; y esteres de los mismos, son utiles como fotoiniciadores cationicos, en especial para utilizarse en aplicaciones de recubrimiento de superficies, tales como tintas para impresion y barnices, y se pretenda que se curen mediante polimerizacion iniciada por radiacion.
