Abstract

Se describen un metodo y un codificador (600) de alta definicion hibrido para procesar datos de senal como una pluralidad de coeficientes de transformacion en bloque para cada uno de los datos de estrato de base y los datos del estrato de mejora, en donde el codificador incluye una unidad (610) de descomposicion para descomponer una secuencia original de datos de senal de alta definicion en datos del estrato de base y los datos del estrato de mejora, un codificador (612) de definicion estandar acoplada con la unidad de descomposicion para codificar los datos del estrato de base como una corriente de bits del estrato de base que incorpora una secuencia de datos de definicion estandar, y un codificador (624) de alta definicion acoplado con la unidad de descomposicion y el codificador de definicion estandar para codificar solamente la diferencia entre los datos de alta definicion y datos de definicion estandar como los datos del usuario de imagen del estrato de base que incorporan una secuencia de datos de alta definicion.
