Abstract

Esta invencion esta dirigida a un procedimiento para elaborar una sal de un acido carboxilico; el procedimiento comprende poner en contacto un catalizador con una mezcla alcalina que comprende un alcohol primario; en una modalidad, el catalizador comprende una estructura de soporte de metal (preferiblemente una estructura de soporte de metal esponjoso que comprende al menos aproximadamente 10% en peso de niquel) que posee una fase activa que contiene cobre en la superficie de la misma y hierro como modificador del catalizador; la estructura de soporte es resistente a la deformacion bajo las condiciones de la reaccion de deshidrogenacion; esta invencion tambien esta dirigida a catalizadores que contienen niquel novedosos que poseen una fase activa que contiene cobre y hierro como modificador del catalizador que se puede utilizar, por ejemplo, en el procedimiento anterior; esta invencion se refiere ademas a procedimientos para elaborar dichos catalizadores.
