Abstract

Se emplea un material de blindaje y polo con magnetoestriccion reducida, que conserva buenas caracteristicas magneticas. Este material se utiliza en una cabeza de grabacion en unidades de cinta y disco. El material es una secuencia repetitiva de tres capas. Una capa es FeX(N) en donde (N) indica una pelicula nitrogenada y el elemento adicional X, de preferencia es Ta pero puede seleccionarse de un grupo de elementos. Otra capa se elabora de una aleacion de NiFe. La tercer capa, colocada entre las capas de FeX(N) y NiFe, es tantalio. La secuencia de tres capas se repite para construir el espesor requerido para el material final.
