Abstract
Se usa una varilla de cobre como soldadura, en una operacion de soldadura al arco, para formar un cordon que une una lamina de iniciacion de acero inoxidable con una barra suspensora de cobre. El nivel de amperaje del equipo soldador al arco se regula para generar una temperatura en el sitio de la soldadura que es mayor que el punto de fusion del cobre, pero inferior al del punto de fusion del acero inoxidable. Esto produce una union soldada entre el cordon de cobre y la barra suspensora y una union de soldadura por aleacion entre el cordon de cobre y la lamina de iniciacion. Ya que la soldadura por aleacion produce poca o ninguna fusion, el area de contacto entre los dos metales disimiles queda limitada a la interfaz entre ellos, que reduce significativamente los efectos daninos de la corrosion galvanica. Otro mejoramiento yace en la aplicacion de un recubrimiento metalico, resistente a la corrosion, sobre la union entre la barra suspensora y la lamina de iniciacion, usando una tecnica de aspersion por llama de oxigeno/combustible de alta velocidad.
